35 lucky fans and friends gathered at Black Sombrero last Thursday (19th March 2015) to taste & talk their way through an array of fine American Whiskeys presented by our learned Grant Shearon from Brown-Forman.
We were totally chuffed that the event was a sell out – tickets sold out within 24 hours of being released — it was our first-ever American Whiskey Masterclass for Black Sombrero, but rest assured it won’t be our last, in fact, it’s just the beginning of a whole program of “Spiritual Masterclasses” to come! Grant guided us all the way in learning a little more about how Whiskey is made, it’s history and recalled us with the fascinating story behind the very real and dear old Jack Daniels. Did you know Jack ran away from home when he was just seven years old? And that he started brewing whiskey with a minister that very same year? Who knew!
